It is not at all uncommon for a planet to have multiple different intelligent people who usually have split off from each other from common ancestors in a far distant past. The planet of Aiers IV in the Aiers Star System is truly extraordinary in the great multitude of native peoples, and cultures, that lived, fought and competed with each other concurrently in its history. Most do seem to have arisen from some common ancestor. Others are far more different, but also existed in a plurality of sibling or cousin races.

The 'cradle world' of Aiers was home to races of giants and dwarves, elves and orcs, goblins and trolls, dragons and dragon-men, and an astonishing panoply of beastfolk.

Giants would walk the world as primordial titans, dwarves dug pits, elves and goblinoids became ever more distinct, and struggled to become the common peoples of the world. Beastfolk roamed the forests, and the dragon races would slink and skulk about in the deep places, as these races long had.

Humans would mysteriously appear on Aiers, and, in ancient legends of their own and the High elves, humans appeared as people of unfathomable power. But their mythic cities deep within the continent of Zarhuy would vanish in a night of impossibly bright flashes and towering balls of flame rising over the horizon like horrible suns. Humbled, the humans fell into primitive barbarism; but they, and their Kanov sibling race, would gradually explore, conquer, and reach ascendancy over Aiers, evolving into distinct cultures.

Almost as if to counter this, the demons appeared. As the humans reputedly came down from the sky, the Bazrrods burst from the ground, and soon these 'demons' became bent on stopping the ascent of the human races, by deliberately choosing to become that which humans feared and loathed, and achieving dominance of their own. In the hope of saving themselves, the native Peoples of Aiers being cajoled, promised, threatened and conquered to follow the lead of the bazrrod demon lords.

The demons having as much success in corrupting many of the human cultures that they opposed, or creating many new races of their own. Races like the Hattak satyrs, Werewolf(ves), Ur Dur, Ozcura Orcs, Kokto Orcs, Uniox goat men, and many other races of demon servers and lesser demons.

Hence, races of peoples would rise and fall in the play of the sins of humans and their demon oppressors. The end result leading to more challenges amidst a rise of machines and a return to the stars.
