The Oni , goblinoids of the Ogre family, and they were a race of ogres that lived in south-eastern Hieyoks, where existed several Oni groups, and they often were called demons, devils, ogres or trolls, extending from Hin to Jamon, across Bina and Hinbina, there being several diverse hieyok ogre cultures.

Origins[]

It's unknown the exact origin of the Oni and the moment when they migrated to the parts of Hieyoks that were raised from to oceans at the beginning of the Human age, some thinking they were more of the servants of the Ice Giants of Hieyoks, while others suggest their origin is to be found in southern Aels, from which they migrated to the east.

General Description[]

The physical appearance of Oni vary widely, but one of the more usual types is of the gigantic ogre-like creatures with sharp claws, wild hair, and two long horns growing from their heads. They are humanoid for the most part, but occasionally, they are shown with unnatural features such as odd numbers of eyes or extra fingers and toes. Their skin may be any number of colors, but red and blue are particularly common.

The differences between Oni is supposed to be from mixed heritage, as it's not unknown for there to be mixed couples of Oni with demons, beast-men, humans and elves, and often these individuals are more intelligent than the more pure ogre-like Oni, making the Oni some of the more intelligent kinds of ogres.

Cultural Distinctions[]

In the Jamonese Oni, it's normal that they wear tiger-skin loincloths, their traditional weapons being iron clubs, called kanabō (金棒?). This however isn't the case of the ogres of Hin, Bina and Hinbina, who have their own cultures.

In Hieyoks, the Oni, along with demons, beast-men and other creatures conformed a series of small kingdoms in the forests and mountains, often at odds with human settlements that quickly expanded in the area. Because of this, some ogre-demon kingdoms made alliances with the Dark Legion of Demons.
