The Ignacian Wars (3150-3216 a.a.H) was a serie of wars fought between the Gastronomic Empire, under the rule of the Emperors Ignacio I, Ignacio II and Ignacio III, first against the Tork Empire of Cretor, and then, against the sucessor of Cretor, the Republic of Bazikstan and their allies, shifting the alliances frecuently during the Wars.
The term as well is used to several other wars fought by Ignacian, but that later -due the involvement of Bazikstan- became a front for this rivalry.
The War of Kagastan (3193-3216 a.a.H) was the last mayor war of the Ignacian Wars, being the bloodiest phase of the war.
Background[]
The origin of this war was in the inmediatly previous Ignacian-Bazik war: As the Prime Minister Huneeu Kham of Bazikstan, after the Bazikstan-DRman War (3182-3817), Bazco-Nicolian War (3186-3192) and Tunecern War (3190) -and subsecuent Bazco-Ignacian Tunecern War- wanted to achieve peace for Bazikstan, and wanted to sign a peace treaty with the Ignacian Empire at the 3193 a.a.H.
After the initial meetings, which showed the disposition of the Ignacian to sign a peace treaty, Emperor Ignacio II of the Gastronomic Empire and Prime Minister Huneeu meet at the Imperial Palace in Verrais.
There, rather than a treaty, Prime Minister Huneeu was presented an unequal peace, a dictate that wasn't like anything they discussed in previous meetings, and that he only could sign without debate. Prime Miniester Huneeu refused to sign that humilliation, and the irascible new emperor of the Gastronomic Empire, Ignacio II, threatened him to sign it, or that he wouldn't guarantee the personal security of the bazik prime minister. Upon that, Prime Minister teared apart the peace treaty, and the enraged Emperor killed him with one of the knifes used during the dinner.
Once more time, the Ignacian Empire and the Republic of Bazikstan where at war.
Outbreak of the War[]
President Colonel Mohammed Bas Khamilo, new ruler of Bazikstan -who in fact made a Military Coup d'etat while the Prime Minister Huneeu was still alive and was going to the Gastronomic Empire to his fatal meeting with the Emperor- first was worried on consolidating his power, and the assessination of Huneeu served to rally the nation behind him as no other bazik rule had opportunity before -making people forget he didn't assumed as sucessor of the assessinated Prime Minister, but in fact made a coup against him while he was out of the country-.
For the first two years of the war (3193-3195), there where only minor skirmishes and smaller campaigns, but this was while President Colonel Mohammed Bas Khamilo finished the modernization of the Bazik armed forces and moved alliances:
And when he finally achieved the support of the Trutsian and Calintropian Empire, he did his move against the Ignacian Kagastan.
The Ignacian Kagastan was a colony of the Gastronomic Empire (IG), builded from the various territories the IG had conquered in the Tok sea (Cremea, Tucrania, Daimacia, Hettichslaven, Konowski, Kagastan, northern Torkia among others), from sucessive wars against Bazik, Trutsians and Calintropians. Because of this, an alliance between these three enemies -and three neighbors- was easy to do, as they wanted to take back what they lost:
Menaced by the north and west, the colonial government sended most of their divisions to face the movilization of the Trutsian and Calintropian armies, leaving only a small force to garrison the southern borders with Bazikstan.
After having defeated the Baziks for almost 50 years one time after other, the Ignacians grossly underestimated the Baziks, to the point they didn't made any defensive preparations when they noticed the massing of bazik forces in the southern border.
Even worse, it was like the Ignacian hadn't noticed how Bazikstan defeated in the last years and sucessively Degoland, the JPM and Nicolia, and how the bazik forces had been modernized.
Because of this, they failed to prepare, and to face the Bazik offensive, that swipped the south in the late 3194 and 3195.
Even when the colonial autorities saw, horrorized and too late, the danger they had been exposed into, this didn't bothered the Emperor Ignacio II, who began even other war -the Second Wilzcroiser War- and opened a new front of that war with the Slavkinian Front, distracting even more soldiers from the colony defense.
Bazik Phase[]
Bazik offensive avance over Kagastan. The President Colonel Mohammed Bas Khamilo is assessinated at the 3202 a.a.H in Scuba.
Ignacian Phase[]
Ignacian counteroffensive, retaking much of Kagastan, and advance over the Bazikstan capitol. Minister De, who governed after the dead of President Colonel Mohammed Bas Khamilo, cornered in his bunker, commit suicide.
Second Bazik Phase[]
New Bazik offensive, who repel the Ignacian invasion, and advance over Kagastan.
Peace[]
Capitulation of the governor of Ignacian Kagastan in front of the Bazik, Calintropian and Trutsian attacks, and surrendering of his forces. End of the Ignacian Wars
